Original Watercolor 22″ x 30″
This Painting of a Native American shirt was made by Alexis’ husband’s, Rod Wilson, Whale Onaga, it was part of his Priestly regalia.
Each part of the regalia has a symbolic meaning. The white beads were made by a Cherokee woman. The little white fuzzy things are Ermine, which are fierce small animals which once they latch onto their prey they do not let go. The stripes represent battles won. The long hair is horse hair which represents strength.
